Reading your own files

The Local source reads comics you already have on your phone.

Where to put them

Put each series in its own folder inside local/ in the reader's folder (by default Download/Ascent Reader/local). Each chapter is either a folder of images or a single archive.

Supported files

• Folders of images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF)
• CBZ and ZIP archives, CBR and RAR archives, 7Z and CB7 archives
• EPUB files

Covers and details

• cover.jpg (or .png, .webp) in the series folder is used as its cover; otherwise the first image of the first chapter is.
• ComicInfo.xml in the series folder, or inside a chapter archive, supplies the title, authors, description, genres and status.

Then

Open Discover → Sources → Local source, and add the series to your library like any other. Pull down to refresh after adding files.
